Valid physical/immunization or exemption and authorization to administer medication forms need to be on site no later than one week before camp starts or you risk losing your space.

Pre- and After-camp Care

Pre-camp (8:15-9am) is available for all camps, except Ducklings.   M,W,F only for Shared Earth, Water & Skies.  $30 member/$35 non member/full week only

After-camp (4-5:30) is available for all full day camps. M,W,F only for Shared Earth, Water & Skies.  $55 member/$65 non member/full week only.

Classic Nature Camp

Remember when summer seemed to last forever?  The world always seemed to slow down as the temperature went up.  As children, we were able to throw our schedules to the wind and our attention to the clouds, green grass and butterflies.  Our classic Nature Camp brings those moments back for a new generation.  It provides a well-rounded experience for campers of every age.  We explore the many miles of trails available to us, including Coogan Farm, for most camps.  Children have the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of ecosystems and habitats such as ponds, streams, meadows and forests, in addition to area beaches and marshes for camps that go on field trips.  Every camper will get a close up look at the Nature Center Exhibits including the very popular Night in the Meadow theater.  Animal encounters are a favorite as we introduce our resident frogs, turtles, snakes, rabbits and birds of prey throughout the week.  At nature camp, children make friends and practice social skills through fun games, test their physical motor skills by climbing on our favorite rocks and boulders and express themselves creatively through various art projects and activities. Nature camp brings children back to basics and nurtures connections to the natural world.

Ducklings (Age 3)

Must be potty trained

Keepers Of The Animals

Ever wonder what’s involved with taking care of all our resident animals?  Go behind the scenes in animal care, learn about their diets, habitat care, important handling facts and procedures and more!  Campers will explore ways to be keepers of wildlife on the trails, out in the field, and through special projects and activities.

Earth, Water & Skies     

A Collaborative Camp With The Mystic Seaport  (Ages 8-11)
  • Full day  9am-4pm  $305 member/$355 nonmember  (may be a member of either organization)
  • M,W,F at the Nature Center / T,Th at the Mystic Seaport

Come explore the connections the Seaport and Nature Center share through our explorations of  Earth, water and sky.  Some examples include navigation and orientation, food webs and life cycles on water and on land.  Engage outdoors at both locations with hands-on activities and learn how life on land and at sea are interconnected.  With this program, campers will get the best of what both locations have to offer and spend three full days at the Nature Center (M,W,F) and two full days at the Mystic Seaport (T,Th).  Pre-camp and after-camp only available on M,W,F.
