Homeschool at the Nature Center
Ages 5 – 12 years
Ecosystem Studies
Join us for an exciting
year learning about the ecosystems of Southeastern Connecticut
and adjacent Rhode Island. By the end of the year students will
gain a full understanding of what an ecosystem is and how the
living and non-living parts of the ecosystem work together. Each
class will investigate a different aspect of the ecosystem
including plants, animals, habitats, food webs and natural
cycles. In order to gain an understanding of the diversity of
ecosystems in our area we will have fieldtrips to Barn Island,
Napatree Point and Devil’s Hopyard State Park.
Students will be grouped
according to age. Enrollment preference will be given to
students who sign up for the entire year prior to the first
class. Individual class sign-ups will not be taken until Sep 1.
