Ways to Give
Annual Appeals
Annual Appeals are conducted twice a year. Appeal donations provide the flexibility to meet the most pressing needs facing the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center. Every gift is needed and appreciated.
Monthly Giving
We are keenly aware of the financial constraints many face today. We have launched a monthly-giving option to allow those on tight incomes to still make a positive impact on environmental education and wildife rehabilitation.
Matching Gifts
Many businesses allow you to double the impact of your gift. Your membership dues and gifts may be matched dollar-for-dollar by your employer. You can get information and forms from your Human Resources office. We are an approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and can provide a tax-exempt status letter.
Memoriam Gifts
Often, family and friends want to help by donating to a cause that was special to a loved one, as a living tribute. We send notes of condolence and acknowledgment to the family.
Tribute Gifts
Honor a friend or family member through a gift to DPNC in their name. Weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries are examples of special occasions when you can send a gift with a note in their honor.
Gifts of Securities
Often, the best way to give is to donate
securities. Please contact Laurel Butler at
860-572-1650, for information and instructions.
Please make sure to include your name on the transfer so DPNC knows how to recognize your gift appropriately.
Estate Giving
Has the Nature Center made a difference in your life or that of your children or grand children? You might want to consider including the DPNC in your will so that this very important mission of environmental education can remain strong and move forward into yet another generation.
A bequest reduces your taxable estate, thereby reducing estate taxes and administration fees on both the federal and state levels. In addition to bequests there are many types of planned gifts including gift annuities, charitable
remainder trusts, and gifts of real estate or life insurance. DPNC wants to recognize the importance and generosity of those who have decided to give to the future today. As a member of our Legacy Society you enjoy the satisfaction of seeing your support play a key role in continuing improvement of the Nature Center. |
You Can Adopt One of Our Animals
The Nature Center receives, rehabilitates and maintains many kinds of native creatures. We keep and maintain a number of birds of prey that have been injured. Our goal is to release healthy animals back into areas of good habitat. Some are unreleasable due to the nature of their injuries. The animals that we keep help educate the young and old and engender a fascination and appreciation of the wild things found locally that are often difficult to encounter up-close and personal.
We have many trusty and dedicated volunteers that assist in feeding, cleaning and facility repairs and maintenance.
Help our local wildlife and our resident animals through our Adopt-an-Animal program.
