DPNC Program Cancellation Policy: Pre-registration allows the Nature Center to secure staffing and materials for programs, so that we may best serve you. We require pre-registration and pre-payment for most programs in order to reserve a space. If DPNC cancels a program, you will receive a full refund. If you withdraw from a program more than 4 days in advance, you will receive a refund less a 25% administrative fee. Withdrawals within 4 days of a program are not refundable. Preregistration for all programs is always recommended. Walk-ins should be prepared to pay by check or with exact change for programs at Coogan Farm, off-site, or after hours, and may be turned away if program is full.

Full Moon Hike: Dr. John Champlin Glacier Park (Westerly Land Trust)

This forested Preserve has typical kettle and kame topography resulting from long ago glacier melts. Trails throughout the Preserve feature a scenic overlook above Shore Road overlooking Block Island Sound. It is adjacent to and just east of the Winnapaug Cottages Development on Tom Harvey Road and Shore Road. Walks take place even on overcast nights, and are suitable for adults and older, interested children. Parking is available at the preserve entrance from Shore Road- turn onto Newbury Drive then take first right onto Kettle Close- parking spots on the immediate right. Moderate terrain, slow pace.
