A Winter Walk in the Woods
Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the season to experience the peace and wonder of a winter walk in the woods. Wind through the forest on a self-guided tour of trails lit by the soft glow of nearly 1,000 luminaria. After your walk, gather by the warmth of a festive fire at our Winter Café to enjoy complimentary hot cider or cocoa. Indulge in delicious snacks or treat yourself to holiday-themed beverages, including spiked peppermint hot chocolate or hot cider with spiced rum (available for purchase).
This event is perfect for all ages. Families with young children typically opt for earlier time slots, while couples and groups often choose the later evening strolls. Whether you’re starting a new holiday tradition with loved ones, planning a cozy winter date night, or organizing an office outing, Luminaria offers a unique way to celebrate the season. We encourage groups to book their tickets together to ensure your preferred time slot is available.
Each evening will feature a special guest. Tickets include complimentary warm beverages (hot cider and hot cocoa), with adult holiday libations available for purchase separately. Space is limited, so tickets must be purchased in advance. And don’t forget to bring a flashlight!

Meet some of our resident DPNC Animal Ambassadors at the Winter Café! After your walk, get up close with these fascinating creatures and learn fun facts about the wildlife of our local forests.
