Specialty Camp

Adventuring Through the Landscape

(Ages 11-15)

Discover how nature and humans shape the land during your daily adventure! From beaver dams to human dams, and glaciers to stone foundations, campers learn how our natural landscape has changed through time. One of the week’s adventures includes a five-mile point-to-point hike along the Goodwin Trail in Salem, followed by a stop at Salem Valley Farms for ice cream. Each day of the week our group travels to a new location in southeastern Connecticut to explore, hike and discover. Campers must be comfortable spending the entire day in the field, hiking, carrying backpacks and being away from buildings and bathrooms.
