Adopt An Animal
Our phone rings nearly every day with calls about injured wild animals, and we respond to the request every time we can be of help. As a federally licensed wildlife rehabilitation and education facility, the Nature Center regularly takes in, rehabilitates and cares for native creatures, which includes food, medication, veterinary care and staff time. Our goal is to release healthy animals back into areas of good habitat. Some are unreleasable due to the nature of their injuries. The animals remaining in our care become Animal Ambassadors, and a part of our education programs, to help further our mission of appreciation of the environment.
Your purchase of an Adopt-an-Animal gift package helps offset the costs of our rescue and rehabilitation efforts and supports our resident animals and their care. While you can’t take Mr. Bill home with you, your gift directly makes a difference in his life and the lives of countless other wild animals.
