Ooze!, Monday, April 13

Learn all about how slugs, salamanders, worms, and toads use slime to help them move and protect themselves.  Explore the wetlands and forests at the Nature Center to search for some slimy critters, then try your hand at whipping up your own batch of slime to bring home!  [button size=’tiny’ color=” background_color=” font_size=” line_height=” font_style=” font_weight=” text=’Register’ link=’https://55308.blackbaudhosting.com/55308/Ooze’ target=”]

Gardening Adventures, Wednesday, April 15

Join us at the Coogan Farm for a fun morning in the garden!  Plant seeds, explore the soil for critters, and enjoy many other hands-on, fun gardening activities and games.  Plant a flower or vegetable to take home so you can watch it grow over the next few months!  Wear clothes that can get a little dirty.  [button size=’tiny’ color=” background_color=” font_size=” line_height=” font_style=” font_weight=” text=’Register’ link=’https://55308.blackbaudhosting.com/55308/Gardening-Adventures’ target=”]

Nature Detectives, Thursday, April 16

Animals leave behind clues that give us glimpses into their lives.  Join us as we search the fields and forests for signs of animal life – tracks, trails, scat, homes, and more!  We’ll be sure to visit with some of our live animals as well.  Crafts and games help teach about the local animals of CT.  Dress for the weather.   [button size=’tiny’ color=” background_color=” font_size=” line_height=” font_style=” font_weight=” text=’Register’ link=’https://55308.blackbaudhosting.com/55308/Nature-Detectives’ target=”]

Frog Frenzy, Friday, April 17

Warming temperatures bring out the amphibians.  Join us as we explore nearby wetlands for salamanders, frogs, and egg masses!  Wear boots & clothes that can get a little muddy.  We’ll provide nets and collection jars for gentle, up-close study.  [button size=’tiny’ color=” background_color=” font_size=” line_height=” font_style=” font_weight=” text=’Register’ link=’https://55308.blackbaudhosting.com/55308/Frog-Frenzy’ target=”]
