The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center is now offering assistance to Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops on a variety of badges.
Nature Center educators can work with troops on a variety of badges, schedule guided overnights, and work with individual Eagle Scouts on their projects.
For Boy Scouts, the Center can schedule programs for Tiger Cubs, Wolf Cubs, Bear Cubs, Webelos and Boy Scouts. Multiple troops can schedule a Badgefest, at which multiple badges can be accomplished. Eagle Scouts can work one-on-one with a Nature Center educator to design and execute a project.
For Girl Scouts, Nature Center educators can work with Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes on a variety of badges. Additionally, we can worj with a troop on the Take Action Award, creating a special patch just for your troop, and also on the OTTER (Outdoor Tips & Tricks for Environmental Resource Stewardship) Patch:
- Buggin’ Out: Brownies through Cadettes
- Introduction to Nature: Daisies through Cadettes
- Trees: Juniors & Cadettes
- Wildlife Wonders: Daisies through Cadettes
