Mystic, CT (Feb. 3, 2015) – Artists have always used nature as their muse, from Vincent Van Gogh’s famous Starry Night painting to Georgia O’Keefe’s desert flowers to Florence Griswold’s impressionist artist colony in nearby Old Lyme.  The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center is pleased to announce two new Art in Nature program series, one for children and one for adults.

Friday Afternoon Artists is designed for children to explore and embrace their inner artist. The second program series, Healthy Art & Healthy Heart, provides an opportunity for adults to get some fresh air and do a little hiking within a supportive, creative group. Participants are encouraged to pursue many different facets of art – drawing, writing, painting, sculpting, photography and more.
